"Auto Wreck in Pink"

B.N. Endsley, 1962, 24" x 30"

Even before superstar Andy Warhol exhibited similar works in New York City to become the toast of the Art world, B.N. Endsley was toiling away in his Midwest studios pioneering many of the themes and techniques that Andy so effectively brought to the masses. It's hard to believe that paintings of this nature were being created in the Heartlands 38 years ago, at least 5 years before the contercultural revolution came to America.
