A wonderful year we share
Together we paint our colorful mozaic of life
As the earth grows wary and older
In its journey around the sun
Stories we tell, laughs we share, places we go: Endless possibilities
All seem too perfect for this life
We could be made for each other
But are we?
These walls you build around you
As if to protect a city from invaders
Or perhaps a pain from the past
I never want to hurt you
Why can't you let me have you?
Memories I now treasure
In time they race into dusk
As we grow wary and older
In our journeys of life
Maybe in our next lives
We can be made for each other
