I was about to pass up buying this painting, but in the end curiosity got the better of me. Is this a bar fight gone horribly wrong? What is the meaning of the second figure fleeing out the doorway towards the light? Is the central figure indeed holding a beer mug? What brand of beer might be contained inside? And most imporantly, just why would anyone choose to paint this piece? This is, of course, the central question underlying so many of the works in my collection, and for the small price of $9.99 I will be able to ponder these mysteries and many others for years to come....
